A Poem Pointed More to my Life, Can Get Something From It

by CJ Quintanilla   Dec 21, 2006

Life has it\'s ups and downs
There\'s times you want to kill
times you want to die
times you wonder why you lie
most importantly to ourselves
we leave our hearts with someone else
that\'s where our cards are dealt

We need to swallow our pride
and just admit we\'re not good at life
we look up at the night
through the clouds,
and to the moon
hoping love will come back soon

If we find something more
do we really think we\'ll be as happy as before?
will we love them the same
and put up with the pain?
we probably wouldn\'t
so that\'s why we shouldn\'t

That\'s how we know what love is
it comes when we least expect it
love isn\'t hoping she notices you
or getting a compliment we know in our hearts isn\'t true
love isn\'t new, it\'s old
love is that best friend that never intends to hurt his one
love is that one that can\'t begin to describe his feelings
love is looking at the stars together wishing it would last forever
love is fighting a bad fight then at the end loving each other just as much

Love is thinking, wishing, hoping
thinking of you
wishing forever
hoping never
love is... not being able to move on
open your eyes,
swallow your pride
denial never got anyone anywhere....you\'re anyone
