Goodbye

by Kay   Dec 21, 2006

Goodbye was the last word spoken
Goodbye was the saddest word he ever had to hear
Love has no boundaries yet no guarantees
Circumstance has ruin what should have been
Bowing down his head in shame he did
The tears he couldn’t hold ‘em back
As it came down his face with no handkerchief to wipe it
Choking on his words as he walked away
Who knew love so strong and complete
Could come to an end at a blink of an eye
Such feeling was too strong to just forget about
Wishing he could reverse time and relive every moment
He closes his eye and tries to visualize it
Perhaps he should have treasured every moment
He had with her; how he wishes he had not been such a fool
Goodbye is now the only word that still lingers in his brain…
