The Corruption of man

by Spirit of the forest   Dec 23, 2006

Screaming, the child alone
Dead the mother's heart, tears
Trickling streams, meadow stained
Blood thick, runs the woman,
Two gaunt figures, love gone
Taken by force, food, lives
Wasted in ground, left
Centuries over and over
Generations lie, stubborn and arrogant
Children, scream
Attention! Shouts the guards
Like rows of flowers, the many sway, crushing
Earth, boots ripped from hides,
Cows that die silently
The cruel glare and the evil grin, Mad
Man gone too far, love lies bleeding
Tongue lolls, and the once innocent babe sits,
Throat slit
