Christmas time

The sleep that just never comes
The seconds that seem like hours
All this just another part of christmas time
That joy you can only truly feel as a child

The presents wrapped in shining paper
So pretty to look at but it wont last
Torn open for the gifts inside
Excitement impossible to hide
