Paradise

I lay awake on my empty bed
room so dark, no light to see
looking up on the ceiling
tossing and turning
cant seem to sleep
put my hand next to me
thinking you were by my side
i look and its nothing but an empty space
i felt a cold breeze coming in from the window
i shudder down my spine
holding the frog that you gave close to me
thinking of your soft warmth touch
i close my eyes and drifted off to sleep
suddenly, i hear a sweet angelic voice in the air
looking back and forth
following the voice within
i see nothing but bright lights
birds singing beautiful melodies
and your sweet fragrance i smell
i felt a soft touch on my hand
looked up and there you stood
with your beautiful smile
that i always love to see
feeling weak in the knees
when i hear my name
escapes from your mouth
you looked deep in my eyes
and kissed me softly in the lips
feeling that butterflies in my stomach
you whisper "I love you" in my ears
took my hand in yours and held on tight
you led me to an ever lasting rode
side by side
i looked back deep in your eyes
and saw the true love that I've been searching for
a smile forms in our faces
breaking a sigh of relief
my heart finally complete
ready to take on any challenges
with you by my side
feeling that confidence in me
because i now found the love of my life
to share the beautiful paradise.
