Eternal Love (Lyrics)

by Mousie   Dec 28, 2006

(Verse 1)
She stares into the flame
Of that lone candle burning,
The brightest light in all of her soul.
Eternal light of everlasting love
For a man who makes her whole.
A future unknown to a naive girl
But a path she's sure to take,
By his side she will remain unmoved
Until that flames dies in her soul.

(Chorus)
But their lives will go on
As their problems they work through,
Lonely they will never be
As long as they are true,
Memories serve as reminders still
Of how they intend to be,
Every minute of every single day
Is a brand new harmony.

(Verse 2...)
A soft serenade of his timeless love
Echoes through her mind,
The beckoning of his cries for hope
Cause her judgement to go blind,
Whispers in the wind of a soothing voice
Whisk her off her feet,
Her daydreams of eternal bliss
Rock her right to sleep.

(Bridge)
She'll dream of a future bright as day
With a faith that all should seek.

(Chorus)
And their lives do go on
Their problems they've worked through,
Lonely they will never be
As long as they are true,
Memories serve as reminders still
Of how they intend to be,
Every minute of every single day
Is a brand new harmony.

(Ending)
Their future turned out bright as day
Strong as they could be.

k i finished it, hope it's good, i finished at 2:45AM lol... nothing better to do, i can't sleep.

Good point, and I've done it many times, sat writing or commenting on poetry because I can't sleep.
The one thing I hate about commenting on lyrics is I can't hear them sung or with music...it's annoying.
The flow (which is important with lyrics) was very smooth. Sure there were lovey dovey overused parts in there but many current love songs even in the charts are just the same.
I'm honestly no good on offering CC to lyrics because I don't know the first thing about them. And even though it's said songs are just poetry to music, you can get away with many more things in music than in poetry...
    Thanks for sharing.

That was gorgeous. Straight from the heart and very moving. It felt like your heart and soul went into this - which is a key aspect of good writing.

    Keep it up.
