Three Wishes

Three Wishes

I was given three wishes on that long and lonely night
I thought real hard and decided
that I would wish you in my sight,

Second I would add
this one took some time
you would be in my arms and we would both be glad,

Third I thought
this one took forever
I would have your love and never to be bought,

I did not know what these wishes were for
neither did I care
though I knew I could never ask for more,

I finally had what I dreamed for
and knew it would last
that I had the girl that I could only adore,

When she smiled the day brightened
when she frowned the day darkened
though when in my arms she was never frightened,

So when I stare her in the eye
and tell her I love here
there is never one lie.

The emotion was very good in this.. you have this thing where you keep to three lines each stanza.. why? It doesn't always flow correctly. Anyway.. good work. 4.3/5
