You cared for me

When you loved me, I was very carefree
You said you trust me and i did not take it seriously
At the time, I did not know nor tried to see
How much you actually cared for me

You punished yourself everytime you hurt me
Putting yourself in more pain than it could be
At the time, I did not know nor tried to see
How much you actually cared for me

You stayed hungry just cause i did not eat
You quit something just so i would also quit
At the time, I did not know nor tried to see
How much you actually cared for me

You stayed up till late to talk to me
And woke up early to do your study
At the time, I did not know nor tried to see
How much you actually cared for me

You gave up so much just for me
Lied to your friends to come see me
At the time, I did not know nor tried to see
How much you actually cared for me

Now i know and also can see
How much you actually cared for me
But now you're not there to hear
how much you actually mean to me
