The Light of The Dark Cold World

by `*~1-lUv~*`   Jan 5, 2007

As I walk into the darkness

and the shadows call my name

Rain pours down upon me

once again I feel the pain

They whisper in my ear, my fears

my memories appear

and I'm ashamed.

As tears roll down my eyes

my life flashes by.

Suddenly I envision

old fears

old memories and enemies

creeping from the corners of the shadows

It's time to face them

as I've never forgotten

only pushed them afar.

As they replay over and over in my mind

I'm lost in a world of confusion and silence

Dazed yet frantic

my mind and heart are racing, I'm panicked.

I don't know what I should do

as I stare evil in it's face.

What do I say,

what do I do?

I ponder it once

then ponder it twice.

I look behind me and I see a white light.

I think I'll turn back,

to the hectic fast paced new life.

Yes I'll turn away,

and leave the darkness behind........now the one who took me out my darkness was you...
