Heaven

You come towards me.
Your face in shadow.
I back up,
towards the window,
my white wings spread for flight.
You keep advancing
A smirk playing on your face.
I fall through a chair,
And grab onto the window panes.
Why?
Why do you keep coming?
I am from heaven,
You are from Earth.
Can you see we were never meant to be?
I am angel,
You human.
But,
What if you aren't?
Your smile doesn't suggest.
You catch me,
Before I can fly off.
I can't disappear from your embrace.
Our faces come closer.
Inches disappear.
You smile,
A warm smile.
Full of love.
A tear comes to my eye,
Knowing what could never be.
Our lips lock.
A kiss.
It ends to soon.
And you let me go.
Backing up a step.
I take a step towards before pausing.
I look at the window backing up again.
I glance at your face,
A last glance.
You smile.
The tear slips from my eye as I jump and fly away.
Gone forever.
Never to return.
Heaven claims me once again.
And I see your face,
One last time in the window.
Before I totally disappear.
