Tear

by David   Jan 8, 2007

A tear left my eye,
and with it how i felt,
for she alone,
made my heart melt,

Running down my cheek,
it left my face,
leaving behind my feelings,
A deadly taste,

For my heart was poisoned,
by her beauty's grace,
Love infected mind,
and heart interlaced,

For the force of her words,
pulled at me like a stream,
which flowed like my tear,
into my dream,

Eyes of curiosity,
deadened and still,
watching time and,
thoughts closely until,

She looked my way,
yes i think she did,
and somehow she knew,
the secret i hid,

For our love was pure,
from that moment on,
and so it will be til,
our memories are gone,

Alas not for me,
they will never leave,
for being with her,
allows me to breathe,

but now the tear,
I shed for my love,
swirls into the ocean,
and lifts me above,

I gaze at her sleeping,
like a man looks upon a god,
her silent breathing,
and gentle nod,

The tear I had shed,
was not one of sadness,
but that of joy,
and loving madness.
