I am a Woman

by Yham   Jan 8, 2007

I am a woman, strong and sweet
I deserve a pedestal under my feet
In time of need, I'll be more than friend
I'll be strong as your rock to the end.

I wish for some peace, a lone request
To settle my fears, to ease them at best
And if I shall fail to stand up alone
I will swallow defeat and humbleness shown.

But I won't go down without a fight
If it means I'll be home alone each night
I will get my life, my long-awaited heaven
If it means our own odds become even.

Forgive my desires, I want so much more
I'm just tired of waiting and I've gone through this before
Please don't judge, condemn or hate
For I loved you once, but its all too late.
