If it is not to be

If the mountain seems so high,
to learn to reach out, together we\"ll try;
and if the river flows endlessly to nowhere,
we\'ll find a way to end up somewhere.

if the future to come will tear us apart,
i\'d rather stop here and cling to your arms;
if a lifetime to come would be without you,
the heart would be lonely, the world would be blue.

if people will come to take you from me,
i cannot bear the pain and agony;
if freedom of this love has to be denied,
i\'ll take all the chances, juz to make it survive.

if there are fears or doubts maybe,
then i\'ll hold on to the promises we\'ve built;
our hearts believe in the same melody of the music we sing.

love must be courageous, and should stand proud;
struggling together to strenghten the shared bond.
life can be so complete, bringing us joys undremed of
because there\'s this certain gladness , felt by the heart.

a silent vow i have made;
that only you shall i tkae;
and forever i have dreamt
to be with you till the end.

but if it is not to be only you and me
how great the torment and suffering shall be!
and if a lifetime will be lived alone,
i\'d rather stop my journey, i\'ll never know how to go on.
