The Blessing

I felt so alone in this world
until fate brought you to me
I guess I never knew
what It was like to be happy

until you came into my life
I had no will to smile
But with you by my side
I can make it for awhile

I never laughed so loud
loved anyone so much
and when I sleep I dream of you
I can feel your touch

all our stupid jokes
keep me laughing constantly
I pause and I must thank God
for bringing you to me
