I HAD PATIENCE

by pam adams   Jan 12, 2007

I have patience
As much as I can
For patience is a virtue
Or so they say
It might be true
It might not
But I have patience
What does it prove
Nothing, nothing at all
In vain I wait
In vain I hope
Anticipating
You reciprocating
And I have patience
With endurance
I keep on,
I hold on
Waiting, hoping
For a reaction
trusting, expecting
Wishing, dreaming
for I have patience
I was gullible
Utterly credulous
Displaying naivety
The futility
Of my pliability
Hits me with reality
Now it\'s no more
I had patience
