Love's Changes Traveling

by PS   Jan 17, 2007

Starting, barely turning
from the bottom of the gut
growing, it moves upwards
to dance upon your stomach
then to where the ribs stand
to gaurd your delicate heart

There it bangs, charges
those ribs, attempting
to crush, mangle, break
your safegaurded heart
Your bones, bars, ribs stand
but barely

Despite a loss and
without a falter, it moves
higher to your throat
which it clogs.
neither letting air in
nor letting any out.
Trapped air inside you teems
fighting in your esophagus.

Ignoring losses, it continues
finally reaching your head.
enveloping the whole,
invading your brain.

Your eyes see it and
your ears hear its song.
it consumes you
changes you
and bursts out of your mouth:

"I Love You."

to change another life.
