Getting Over Him

The day breaks,
The night falls.
The weeks go by,
I'm counting down the days.

It's been five months, three days,
Since i saw you last.
Over three thousand hours,
It's been to long.

I don't know why i miss,
It's not like i still love you.
At least thats what i tell you,
That's the lie i tell myself.

Me and you,
It wasn't meant to be.
Plus now i have him,
And he makes me happy.

You were never really there,
You lied to my face.
You went behind my back,
Yet being with you is the dream i still chase.

I cannot love you,
I'm not allowing myself.
This past time you hurt me,
Was really the last.

I'm making a promise,
It's One to myself.
I will not fall for you
Not ever again.

    Hey kelley that poem was reall good! it's good to see that you are expressing yourself through poetry.. you're doing it really well too. I especially loved this verse "I don't know why i miss,
