Die Lorelei

by Avenue   Jan 20, 2007

She smiles at me
The sweetness in her laugh
Fills up my heart
As though it were a bath
And her words lavender
And silken skin
Giving desire
To everything within
Lorelei, she says that is her name
To be with her
Is merely, just a game
I follow roads
With clues hidden in eyes
And always there are more
To my surprise
She smiles at me
As though I were a sin
She loves me close
And pulls my heart within
But as the road goes on
My anger grows
My interest, it wilts
Her lips my rose
She's falling to the earth
Up from the moon
She will be hitting bottom
Oh, quite soon
She was never mine to have
And I just cry
She smiles as I scream
Die Lorelei.
