Finding Happiness

Someone told me yesterday
What i was longing to hear
"I know your unhappy" she said
"I understand your fear"

For once i opened up
Tears ran down my cheeks
At last not caring for appearance sake
Ignoring the calls of "freaks"

She told me the last time i was happy
Was when i was with him
I flinched when she said his name
All the memories flooded back in

She looked into my soul
Offered me a smile
Giving me the hope
Of being happy for a while

I walked past him today
He stuck his hand out to wave
I looked at him at last
Told myself to be brave

Walking straight on I smiled
Into the eyes of my past
Confusion the look on his face
Following my steps at last

I grinned as I knew he was watching
Me finally walking away
"I'm over you boy forever,
And there is nothing more to say"
