How It Should've Been

Every night,
before I go to sleep.
I though of the relationship
that we should keep.

How we should've held on
and never let go,
How our love should've been
as we see it grow.

Now, I am left
with a cut in my heart,
I see my loveless life
slowly falling apart.

It just feels so different
without you by my side,
It's just a part of me
that I could not abide.

I've done everythng
to show my love to you,
but you never realized
that my love for you was TRUE.!
