Aurora

Each tumbling wave tossing
throwing the ship, Aurora
named for the morning goddess

In that morning, she left her dock
to make berth in that far off port
there where your lover waits,
named for the morning goddess

the captain hard, angry man
stiving, whipping each sailing man
wanting nothing
but that shining coin
valueing it more than that lady
named for the morning goddess

but on that ship, stands a man
just a sailing man, no more
fighting to find his far off love
she, treasure beyond all gold coin,
named for the morning goddess

he forgets the cold wet nights
even the captain\' s greedy might
a simple man among criminals
clean and pure and innocent
even in the guise of dirt
he hunts and will surely find
that lady, which he does love
the one that named
the unknowning captain\'s ship
hidden in a far off land, that one
named for the morning goddess

Beautifully penned. Good imagery, rhythm and rhyme. Nice job!
