Empty Handed

by XXTruthSeekerXX   Jan 23, 2007

You came starry-eyed
Bare and naked in hands.
Giving nothing but warmth
and subtle moonlight kisses

The trail you walked left
none but crushed leaves,
that was already there in
the beginning of our time

You say, mourn not my dear
for frivolous silk and laces.
They are but a reminder
to everything but me

Leave your stone built walls
And hold my awaiting hand
Though empty may it seem
But no, my love will flow

Chests may drown in gold
Yet you my fair lady
Will drown in my endless love
For as long as God allows
