I Will Find A Way

by Kristine   Jan 24, 2007

I've only known you for a little while,
But each day that passes I think of you more.
Sometimes it hurts because I don;t get to see you,
To hold you, to tell you that I care and that I'll always be there.
Everyday I stare at my phone.
Trying to find the courage to get past the dial tone.
And when I do I sit nervously waiting,
Waiting for you to answer my call.
It feels like I wait a million years,
Thinking of what to say as your answer nears.
Should I tell you how much I care?
And that I'll always be there.
I hear your voice,
My mind goes blank and I let the moment slip away.
Motionless and frozen I wait,
Pleading and begging myself to answer my fate.
I answer with a simple "hey",
And pretend that I don't feel this way.
The whole time I wish I could be with you,
If only for a moment would you hold me too?
As you say "goodbye for now",
I think "say something, say it now".
"I want to be with you",
It's to late, if only you knew.
So I go on with life wishing I can say what I want to say,
But I promise myself,
I will find a way.
