Carcass

by DourParoxysm   Jan 26, 2007

As I ride down the country road
I see an animal carcass before me
Bleeding, and gutted, in the lane
Flies eating out its innards
As it slowly begins to decay
I see a flashback of all my days
I hit the animal, lying naked in the road
I have left it suffering, to bear a heavy load.
