Strangled Shadows [Trijan Refrain]

by My Decadent   Jan 26, 2007

The night is dark and winds blow cold,
The pale moon is shining -
Feeling like a million years old
As my heart stopped beating
And still I sleep, lonesome at night
Severed from dreams of divine light
And still I sleep
And still I sleep
Embraced by my nightmares and blight...

The night is dark and winds blow cold,
Feeling like I'm falling -
Ropes too fragile to grab hold;
Broken and decaying.
And then I weep for Death's delight,
Overwhelmed by his cruel might
And then I weep
And then I weep
No one to help me is in sight...

The night is dark and winds blow cold
As I'm barely crawling
Covered in this decadent gold -
Slowly inside dying
And I can't sleep with these walls of white,
Strangled shadows making me fright
And I can't sleep
And I can't sleep
See my strangled shadow tonight...

This poem is awesome and has one of the most unique styles in P&Q. You did an excellent job with a very different way of writing. I'd love to see more using this style. 5/5
