The Rambling of a Soul in Love

by John Bowlby   Jan 28, 2007

I began this poem,
To describe every thought,
Of how I felt about you.

I thought of everything,
That came to mind,
Every happy, peaceful thought.

And each thought I'd write,
On the blank paper,
Never seemed like enough.

It was then that I realized,
Nothing I could write could describe,
The way that I feel about you.

I have narrowed it down,
Not nearly enough,
And though it doesn't rhyme.

You are beautiful beyond words,
Amazing in all ways,
Not a poem in the world is good enough for you.

Nothing less can describe you,
You are my angel,
Sent from God above.
