A NIGHT SPENT IN HEAVEN

by J Avery Johnson   Jan 28, 2007

I spent the night in Heaven, made love to an angel, took a walk along golden shores, listened to sweet melodies played by trumpet blowers

I spent the night in heaven, among the stars and the moon

A night filled with passion that ended much too soon

I spent the night in heaven, with tears in my eyes...

Voice rigid and worn, I couldn't hear my own cries

Why cry, you may ask when heaven is where you are

Though and true, mind, body and soul were...but you had my heart

See, I appreciate the fact that I was one of GOD's chosen

Yet when my soul left my body, my heart was frozen

In due time, I'd love to return, but for now, I have a love to live

With all things known to man based on take, I ask that you give

A second to understand the mental
and believe true love

What we share and all we are, free and pure like a dove

Till death do us part, was the vow we took

All things that seem...aren't, and all others...not what they look

I spent the night in heaven, mentally, the night with you

Forgive me LORD, for I may or may not know what I do.
