When I Looked Into Your Eyes

by Munkito   Jan 28, 2007

The very first time I looked into your eyes

The depths that I glimpsed gave me reason for pause

I never imagined to meet such a man

Who'd become my best friend in so short a time

I'll tell you what I saw

So you know I'm not dreaming

Such a brilliant intellect

You can't hide something like that

And a sense of humor very near irreverant

A quiet strength that can get things done

And a gentleness rivaled by none

Just a brief glimpse of what I first saw

But now that I know you

I've been fully immersed

You're a jewel among rubble

And I'm happy to find

That you choose to let be a part of your life.
