A MEMORY

A MEMORY

He opened his eyes and saw her face, he closed his eyes,
He couldnt believe that she was there in front of him.
He remembered the day when she told him that she loved him,
as she looked into his eyes.
He thought it was a joke and let her go,
his mind screamed I love you too, but his mouth said otherwise.

He saw her cry, but did nothing to stop it.
He saw her in that glass box crying,
But he just stood there as she drowned in
Her tears, in her misery.
He tried to cry but laughed instead,
He tried to save her, but watched her disappear.
And now a second chance has come to him;
He opened his eyes, but she was gone.
The wind blowing through his window, whispered her name.

He saw her image from far away; he tried to get her attention,
But all she did was walk away.
He yelled I love you, and everything just paused.
He tried to catch her, but as he got closer she got further
And further away.

The thunder started, the rain fell, the sky turned black and lonely,
And his heart broke again.
He closed his eyes and laid in bed,
As the memory of her disappears.
He cries at night wishing she will come back to his arms,
And until that day he would try to dream of her,
But her image is fading away.

And now ten years later he still cries, but does not know why,
He missed his chance for love, and now its forgotten -

That he ever even loved.
