One Step, Three Words

by Carrie   Feb 9, 2007

One step, you're on the edge.
Three words, you longed for.
Someday you're not going to look back but
today it's all your mind's wrapped around.
He led you to the verge
of your breakdown.
Any day now, you'll be broken down.
Nothing changes,
each embrace tears your heart,
and you still crave the attention.
Winter snuck up on you both,
and you weren't prepared for it.
One step, you face your downfall.
Three words, you can't wait for anymore.
Panic, panic,
you blew your golden cover.
Your escapes just disappeared,
you can't even run to a friend.
Time spent with him was time wasted.
And all these thoughts
bury you further, deeper down.
What's your next move,
One step, you're on your own.
Three words, move fcuking on.
