Forest saviour

by kiara   Feb 12, 2007

Im like a bird trapped in the trees
Just waiting for loves storm to cease
The storm which throws me around
Breaking my wings, letting me fall to the ground
Crashing upon the ferns of life
Cutting my flesh upon the green knife
Another cut bleeding eternally within me
Another broken tap creating the red sea
I watch the last of my hope struggle to survive
Whilst I wonder why I allowed myself to still be alive
Wait a little longer the trees seem to whisper in my ear
Let cupid strike you once more, theres nothing left to fear
So here I am no longer hiding in the trees
For the day has come, when loves storm finally ceased
Upon the day god has blessed us with
The day where you get what you give
This bird is now flying from the trees
Endlessly falling towards razor sharp leaves
Bracing itself for cuts and tears
Ready to relinquish hope and give into its fears
But then it feels the pressure of your heart and beating wings
My savior is what Valentines Day brings
