Love With a Dream

by Constantinesgirl   Feb 12, 2007

Completely in love with a dream
One that constantly watches over me
It shines with some kind of light
Somewhere in the deep

Sometimes this dream seems so real
And all of time just stands still
There are times I have to remind myself
That reality is out there somewhere

When dawn breaks
The skies red and orange from the first rays of the sun
Memories of the dream still linger
But fall back with each passing moment of the sun

The day is long
I reveal nothing of my strong love
Instead it lies dormant
In some shadowy corner of my mind

Secretly I long to be alone
Shut off from any kind of light
So I can draw forth the dream once more
Playing it over and over, adding new parts

But what good is it to dwell on a dream?
Reality awaits outside these dark shadows
Not even a love as strong as mine
Can make a dream like that become real
