I loved you dearly
from the moment that I knew

was what was best for you

I met your wonderful mother

she'd love you like no other
And so it was that she became
what I could not be
With all the love she gave you
she set my heart at ease
Please understand that what I did
was because I loved you so
I knew that if I loved you
I had to let you go
This poem was written for the daughter that I gave up for adoption when I was young....I am best friends with her adopted mother and hope that she will give this to her someday
