You Were There

by Jessa   Feb 16, 2007

The times that I thought that I was alone,
When I felt unstable as if I had no backbone.
You were there.
The times when the wind blew hard enough to make me fall,
When I felt I was in a room with not one wall.
You were there.
The times when I was put down,
When I felt like a puddle on the ground.
You were there.
The times that I was scared and a afraid,
When I felt like a piece of fabric that my fears had frayed.
You were there.
The times when I was alone,
You were there as my backbone.
The times that I would fall,
You were there as my wall.
The times when I was put down,
You were there helping me off the ground.
The times when I was scared and afraid,
You were there to cut off the frayed.
You were there through thick and thin,
You were there as my friend.
