Antennas and Wings

by Slaughtered Pixie   Feb 16, 2007

This tiny little person, with antennas and wings
Some magic wishing dust and a smile she brings
A glow surrounds her as she flies right by
Her wings of lavender, her deep green eyes
"What is your wish, that you long to come true?"
Her lips a shade of red, her dress tinted blue
"I wish to go to Never Land," I said, "Take me away!"
She blows her magic dust, her glow slowly fades
"Close your eyes young lass, and when opened you will see
A Never Land before your eyes and by your side shall be me."
So I closed my eyes and hard I wished
When they opened I saw something I thought couldn't exist
I saw tall green trees and a bright blue sky
Flowers along the sidewalk, nothing could explain why
It was the magical dust. Oh! It worked so well
But I had to promise that no one I would tell
As I gazed into the sky, the clouds, they were so white
Rainbows were everywhere, I wouldn't try to fight
She took me away to the Never Land of which I dreamed
Everything was so real, or that was so it seemed
Because then I woke up suddenly, all warm in my bed
It was too good to be true, I let it run to my head
My Never Land was a fake, it was just an imagined dream
But she was this tiny little person... With antennas and wings
