I stand disarray

by Beautifully Disfigured   Feb 17, 2007

The pictures lie upon the floor
The pain lies within my heart
Though it's gone
Hidden deep within
A tortured soul
Lost to mend
Tear stained pictures upon the floor
Memories lost once more
Broken glass can never mend
But a broken heart will mend itself
Loud blaring music
Blocks the screams from being heard
I throw the pictures at the wall once more
My heart trying to fix itself
Though it's hard
I try not to cry
A kiss is just a mockery
When you try to love
They never love you back
Though he once did
I don't know about now
I ask him again and again
He answers with a shrug and a grin
Confusing
Complicated
Misleading
Obscure
He walks away
I stand disarray
He walks away
Obscure
Misleading
Complicated
Confusing
He answers with a shrug and a grin
I ask him again and again
I don't know about now
Though he once did
They never love you back
When you try to love
A kiss is just a mockery
I try not to cry
Though it's hard
My heart trying to fix itself
I throw the pictures at the wall once more
Blocks the screams from being heard
Loud blaring music
But a broken heart will mend itself
Broken glass can never mend
Memories lost once more
Tear stained pictures upon the floor
Lost to mend
A tortured soul
Hidden deep within
Though it's gone
The pain lies within my heart
The pictures lie upon the floor
