Love is like a painting

by \^^/Jessie\^^/   Apr 5, 2004

Love is like a painting,
So colourful and deep,
But no matter how it looks to you,
There's a flaw within it's keep.

There are colours a many,
And it's so much fun to hold,
But one slip of your fingers,
And it could be a nightmare untold.

There's always lovely twists and turns,
Sometimes a smile or two,
But other times, tears are shed,
And to change it, there's nothing you can do.

And then there is always,
Things that come into play,
And no matter what it lingers,
In both night or day.

It can also cause conflicts,
Because someone wants it more,
Which is why you have to cherish it,
Like something big's in store.

But when it comes right down to it,
It's a great thing to be found,
And when you think about it,
It'll always be around.

I loved how you compared love and a painting in this poem. Very Neat!
