Your Love Is Like

by Lillye   Feb 20, 2007

Your love is like that magpie in the sky
Flying free and far
With battered wings that tell your trust
To re-open up that scar

Your love is like that moon that hangs
Covered and so glum
Half there, half not, the darkest shadow
Reminding me what we have become

Your love is like a new born
Lying still and frail
Full of innocence but betrayal
Letting us go stale

Your love is like a lie
One that never makes sense
A slight remainder of a shattered past
Living in pretence
