Love That She Taught

You don't know it
but people talk behind your back
and every night you just sit and cry
its those special qualities you seem to lack,

But when you met her
it was like love at first sight
you couldn't help but stare
you'd go home and think about her all night,

People thought you were foolish
because you though you were in love
then again what did you know
you had no idea what love was,

You met her for the first time
sitting on that hill right above
the stars on a beautiful night
you looked into her eyes, it was her you would love,

Someone told you
you don't know what love is
your just to young know
to know if its a sure thing,

But you were puzzled
looking into his eyes
you told him you to love her
and there were no lies,

He laughed and pointed
as you told him to stop
he turned back and stared
your head seemed to drop,

Again you see her
it was love that you thought
and then you knew
it was love that she taught.
