The Red Pine

by AShatteredDream   Feb 21, 2007

The sun glitters across the snow,
a soft breeze kisses my cheek,
when from your lips sweet words flow
Like the most beautiful symphony reaching it's final peak.

Under the branches of the red oak tree,
with my head resting on your shoulder, and my heart in your hand, I feel so wonderfully free.
And inside I smile brightly, no one could take this moment away, even though try they may.
No one can touch a moment so long awaited,
where love met me for the first time,
under the branches of the red oak tree.

As your sweet green gaze falls upon me,
can you see what goes on inside of me,
do you know
that you have stolen my heart completly?
And as your arm wraps around me,
I know that if you asked me to, I could fly,
and do so fearlessly.
