Summer Rain

by NytherHerenorTher The hooded poet   Feb 21, 2007

The heat of the day
turns to a sweet mist,
a breeze blows the side of your face
You are calm, it is very peaceful
Blue skies turn to gray water
The coolness in the air is refreshing
Now children come outside kissed by the air,
and then there's a familiar sound,
Rain
Lovely torrents of water, quenching the land
fills the air
Mother calls for dinner at the door,
it becomes a cool night
