He's In Iraq Now

by Gabrielle   Feb 21, 2007

I see your smile and handsome face
Every time you e-mail from that place.
I cry after I hear you words
And that of what I've heard,
Sharp shooter and expert is what they say
But I can't see you that way.
You're always cheerful and happy
You're not mean, You're my daddy.

I acted mean and try to be bad
Because I'm hiding the fact I'm sad.
I can't think of you shooting a gun
Having this image is no fun.
I just want you to come here
But soon you wont be near,
You'll get on that plane and when you land
You'll be in a place we didn't plan.

I won't hear your voice everyday
But I'll still think of you in every way.
The way you sound and the way you smell
Without you life is a living hell!
I love you with my heart and soul
And I must let you know
I'll think of you whatever I do
And keep that promise I promised you.

My dad left New Years Eve of this year and has been in Iraq. I miss him so this is for him. When he left I promised I would stop cutting and I have just for him!
