The things you do
can make me feel loved
but sometimes it feels like
my heart has been shoved

the way that you joke
can cause me to smile
but then it gets harsh
causing tears for a while

the way that you kiss
can send shivers through me
but then you want more
causing me to feel cheap

the things that you say
can warm up my heart
but then more often
they can tear you apart.
