there was a time in the past i could look up to your face
and i swear i never dreamed of another taking that place

as this message in a bottle softly drifts away
leaving from my hands and the words i had to say

that i would of given my life for just a whisper of your breath
now them days are gone and i feel that we have nothing left

i look at your picture and it only brings pain
cos things between you and me could never be the same

one MSG on my phone the sweet sensation of your voice
makes me believe that we did once have a choice

we continue to be friends but do you really know
the feelings that emerge when you call and say hello

i called you my chicken wing to u i was your drum stick
why did i have to lose your love over some dumb shit

if i could turn back time i wouldn't rewind one minute
cos I'm glad i had something special and you were in it

i feel without pain there could never be love
but what could i be if there was never us

the time has now come were i put my feelings to a end
to say good by my lover my dearest oldest friend
