Love Takes Over

Laughing in the sunlight
shy and never revealing her thoughts
she see you staring her way
and she stares back
you wonder if she will ever speak
ever talk to you
ever walk up to you
she knows your there
or else she wouldn't be smiling at you
a day goes by, and she doesn't say a word

day after day you see her beauty
you try to speak to her
but she disappears somewhere in the crowd
you search, but no where is she to be found
you see her and run
she turns around; tears running down her face
you ask her whats wrong
how you can help
but she runs away
leaving nothing but a memory

the morning comes and you look for her again
you find her laying in the lobby couch
you sit next to her
but she doesn't look to see
distress on her face
Finlay she sobs and stares into your eyes
you know she's been hurt
heartbroken by a horrible monster
never again Will she be the same
never again will she walk in the sunlight

she looks up at you
knowing why you're there
she suddenly rings her arms around your neck
you hold tightly as tears rest upon your shirt
you feel her sadness around you
and you ask her the same question
"whats wrong?"
she answers back; explaining her feelings
explaining her heartbroken emotions
and she looks back into your eyes

she sees your worried
and feels loved; unforgotten
you tell her you've been thinking of her
that you've always loved her smile
but now that its gone
theres no joy in summer
she feels the same way
she's loved you too
never showing her feelings for you
never talking to you

years pass and you've been best of friends
a day has come when she will be surprised
a day when you ask her to marry you
she says yes, and you two go home
growing up till death do you part
growing up with lives together
with love everlasting
with joy filling the air
with a smile never failing
for the love between them never ends
