My Heart

He was my life,
My one and only.
I loved him so much, gave my heart,
Fully and totally, to him.

I needed him so much,
To help me get through.
Day by day I was with him,
So dedicated, my heart and soul

But he loved someone else,
Someone who didn't care.
She never knew what he felt for her,
How could he feel for her?

She didn't love him,
She didn't even know.
But I loved him, I knew,
But he asked her to love him.

But she didn't hear him,
Not one word, not one sound.
But I loved him,
More then he knew.

Then a cold winter day,
He ended it all with those fateful words.
I cried once, only once over him,
Much to my surprise.

He no longer cares for me,
This I know is true.
He is no longer by my side,
But always in my heart, always and forever.

I loved him so much,
My whole heart was his.
But now I'm moving on,
Slowly I know I am, everyday.
