Cut Out my Heart

Staring down the road
Longing to see his car
Pulling into the drive

Not knowing when
He’s coming back
Or even If

Barley do I even
Know him
And yet there are
Feelings inside me

I try to tell myself
That it’s not real
Other wise he
Would feel the same

And I doubt he does

I need his companionship
But feel I have gotten all
I’m going to get

I wish I could cut out
My heart
