Madness

5 days a week, 6 hours a day.
5 hours of working, 1.5 total we can lay.

Rush it here and there, just to be on time
Cracking down the whip, come on, stay in line

Anyone feel the pressure? Come on, conformitize - ?
Anyone think theres a secret? Anyone hear the lies?

This is for your future, its whats good for you
I wish you could hear the thoughts, about this and about you.

We may be young, no opinion we are told.
We have no say in this, no influence we can hold.

But hold on, arnt we the youth, arent we your future too?
Cant we decide with changes what really happens to you?

I want to help the small ones, those who cant communicate.
Cant I choose to abandon, and choose to stay up late?

Busting my brain cells, with something much worse that pot.
Lose all smarts I hold, I can change a lot.

If I decide, break out and rebel.
You may not have my help, you just cant tell.

Oops, you had your chance, to listen way back then.
To hear what I had to say, for whom, where and when.

You could have supported, if you only breathed and cared.
I may have had the talent, and had advice I could have shared

Because you pushed us to conform, forcing us to walk the line.
People may break, double step, its only a matter of time.

So Ill tell you, open your ears, even to those you choose to despise,
You never know when they might tern, and start firing back with lies.
