Over Night

by Sean Brady   Feb 25, 2007

When the sun came up
She heard his voice
Telling her to wake up
Because she wouldn't by choice

The night prior she had her best date
They went to the movies and a walk on the beach
The first time in forever she's felt so great
When the one she wanted was no longer out of reach

They walked and walked until they couldn't anymore
Their feet grew blisters but they didn't care
They talked and talked till their throats were sore
And no noise came out, just silent air

When the sun set down
She said don't leave me till I fall asleep
He said you'll see me around town
But told himself to stay till she woke from her sleep

He looked her in her barely opened eyes
To kiss her and tell her how beautiful she was
But she beat him to the punch with a surprise
A kiss and an I love you back not for staying but just because
