Mommy & Daddy weren't together

We never got to hold you
See the funny things babies do
Wish we could see you walk
Teaching you how to talk
Never got to see your first birthday
For school things we will never pay
Never got to rock you to sleep
Never got to hear you weep
Wish we could hear you cry
But instead we had to say good bye
